What is TSC-i48?
TSC-i48 is The Good Ear Company’s first BTE (Behind The Ear) hearing aid that enables individuals with mild to severe hearing loss to communicate more freely, function more easily day-to-day and achieve a whole host of other benefits, ranging from career advancement to better balance. It also has a feature called TSC (Threshold Sound Conditioning - hence the TSC name!) that is the underlying technology for some interesting improvements in the areas of hearing loss.

How much does TSC-i48 cost?
The original price is $1,670 but from time to time, we run limited time promotions that offer better prices. Typically, a hearing aid similar to TSC-i48 - without the TSC feature - from an audiologist can cost between $3,000 to $6,000.
What is included in the hearing aid package?
The TSC-i48 ships with a hearing aid, two receiver tubes (left and right), two ear tips, cleaning brush and one size 13 battery

I have severe hearing loss. Can TSC improve my hearing?
Is TSC feature FDA approved?
No, it is not FDA approved (yet). We have recently conducted and completed a clinical study with the Stanford University Hospital and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. We are preparing an FDA approval based on these results. The results can be checked on this document.
Do I have to leave the TSC feature ‘ON’ 24 by 7?
Based on our previous researches conducted in both South Korea and the US, it is recommended that you leave the TSC feature ‘ON’ for 30 minutes per day.
Payment and Insurance
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, hearing aids are not covered by most insurance plans and The Good Ear Company does not accept insurance at this time.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal payments
Can I pay in installments?
No, we do not accept payments in installments.
Warranties and Returns
What is your warranty policy?
The TSC-i48, with the exception of the battery and receiver tube, is covered by a one year manufacturer warranty. All covered parts will be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished components without any additional charge. The warranty does not cover malfunctions due to user errors or mistreatment of the hearing aid such as physical shock, excessive wax build-up, or tampering. Please note that the warranty is based upon the date of purchase, not the date of manufacture.
What is your return policy?
We have a no-questions-asked, no-fee 90-day return policy. If you wish to return your hearing aid for any reason, just let us know by sending an email to email@example.com and we will provide you with a mailing label that you can attach to the original packaging.
